Free community Regional Event Management Training Program - Apply Now!

We are very pleased to announce applications are now open to volunteer community groups in our Council area to participate in event management training. We are offering 10 places to volunteer groups in a training program designed to empower groups and assist them to develop and grow and be able to run successful events. 

The program is facilitated through rEvents Academy. Funding is provided through the Volunteering Diversity and Inclusion Program.

rEvents will deliver a seven-week-long facilitated and interactive online training program. This program offers a convenient way to improve your event management skills in a flexible learning environment, while learning alongside peers.

There are 10 modules covered in the program:

  1. Post Event Review
  2. Succession Planning
  3. Event Teams
  4. Event Finance 
  5. Sponsorship
  6. Marketing Success
  7. Grant Funding
  8. Logistics & Preparation 
  9. Responsible Events
  10. Operations & Risk Management

 The core learning elements are:

  • Nine one-hour live webinar sessions - held some Mondays (depending on course content) and every Thursday for one hour between 12 pm to 1 pm (AEST).

  • Each module has a series of three on-demand pre-recorded training lesson videos

  • Each module contains resources, case studies, tools and templates to help you action your learnings

  • Links are provided to further support and extend your learning (include readings, podcasts and blog articles)

  • Each course participant is invited to interact within a closed Facebook Group to allow for Q&A sessions, discussion, interaction, networking and involvement with other event organisers.

Following completion of the program, your event will have a complete event operations manual, practical for use by the whole committee.
