Council’s inaugural election was held on Saturday, 9 September, with Murrumbidgee Ward the only Ward required to vote, with six nominations for the three Councillor vacancies.
The Jerilderie and Murrumbidgee East Wards were uncontested.
On Wednesday, 13 September at 6pm the Returning Officer officially announced the nine Councillors elected for Murrumbidgee Council:

The first meeting of the new Council will be held on Thursday, 21 September, when the Councillors will be sworn in and the Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be elected.
