Have your say on Murrumbidgee Council's draft Community Participation Plan
Murrumbidgee Council has placed the draft Community Participation Plan (CPP) on public exhibition and is encouraging the local community to provide feedback.
Council’s Planning and Environment Manager Kelly Tyson said the Plan details how and when Council will engage with the community through the planning functions and activities it performs under the planning Act.
Mrs Tyson said the CPP outlines how Council will communicate with the public regarding activities and functions such as strategic plans and development applications.
“The draft CPP also sets out the minimum public exhibition timeframes for planning projects, plans and applications.
“This is an important Council document, so I encourage all residents to have a read through it and provide their feedback,” she said.
The Plan is a requirement of the NSW Government and has been guided by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s draft Community Participation Plan.
The draft CSP will be on public exhibition until Tuesday 29 October 2019. Copies are available at each of the Council offices at Coleambally, Darlington Point and Jerilderie and also on the Council website at www.murrumbidgee.nsw.gov.au.
