The National Recovery and Resilience Agency and Rotary Australia Community Outreach Events are coming to local communities in July to provide support and advice on the drought, bushfire, flood and challenges like COVID-19.

These events will bring together all levels of government, charities, not-for-profit and agricultural organisations to support farmers and rural and regional communities living through the immediate and longer-term effects of drought.

It is an excellent opportunity for farmers, families and rural communities to grab a sausage sandwich, catch up with friends and neighbours and find out what support is available during drought and tough times. ; they will also distribute $500 vouchers to eligible farmers, farm workers and farm employees.

The Community Outreach Events are part of the Australian Government’s Drought Community Outreach Program.

  • Freeze Mob & Flash Mob Dance

Participate in a Freeze Mob & Flash Mob Dance! A free event on behalf of Life Vest Inside, a non-profit organisation that inspires, empowers and educates people of all backgrounds to lead a life of kindness.

Every year Life Vest Inside organises Dance for Kindness, a Worldwide Freezemob/FlashMob, showing that regardless of the differences in race, religion, ethnicity, culture and background - kindness is the common thread that unites us all. This year marks LVI’s 10th Annual Worldwide Dance for Kindness. Last year's event took place in over 120 cities, spanning across 50 countries with over 20,000 participants.

The Dance for Kindness will start at Hay Rd, Darlington Point on Sunday, November 14th, 2021 at 9:00am. We will kick it off at the CWA Skate Park and dance our way down Hay Rd!

The event will involve a group of people coming together to perform a KindneFreess FreezeMob / FlashMob. During the FreezeMob, participants will be frozen in kindness positions for approximately 3 minutes. At that point the participants will burst into dance for an additional 3 minutes.
    Hope to see you there!

If you would like to volunteer on the day to help out please send me a message on the Facebook page. We can dance and inspire kindness in our LGA at the moment (in a socially distanced way of course) for those in Australia and around the world who cannot due to lockdowns.

If any local businesses can help out with sponsorship and would like to volunteer their services, please also let me know.
You can also visit www.danceforkindness.com for more information.
