Funding: The funding allocation will be divided between this project and the Coleambally Library project. The funding comprises of:

  • $500,000 NSW Government Public Library Infrastructure Grant
  • $133,400 Council contribution
  • $200,543 Council in-kind for project management and building works

Total expenditure: $833,943

The Darlington Point library will be established through a renovation of the council office, with new office spaces added to accommodate staff. Council is managing the project in-house, including all design and construction work, to ensure the new library meets community needs.

Murrumbidgee Council sees the dedicated library space as an important investment in supporting community engagement, education and access to knowledge for people of all ages.
