Murrumbidgee Council Education Scholarship Program - OPEN
Closing 15 March 2024 at 12 noon.
This annual scholarship is valued at $1,000. We award one or more scholarships each year.
Guidelines:
- To be eligible, you must:
- Home address within the Murrumbidgee Local Government Area (ie, Council area)
- Be studying at a tertiary institution in 2024. This includes university, TAFE and other recognised tertiary education providers.

Charles Sturt University Foundation Scholarship - Closed
Murrumbidgee Council sees education as a key process in the development and growth of our residents, particularly our youth.
We are proud to sponsor the annual Charles Sturt University $4,000 Foundation Scholarship and see this as an important way to ease the transition and expenses for rural students.
The scholarship is only open to students who reside within the Murrumbidgee Council Local Government Area. It is open to commencing and continuing students who are studying full-time with Charles Sturt University, however, preference is given to commencing students.
This scholarship is open from approximately November to February.

Sir John Monash Bursary - CLOSED
We proudly offer the Sir John Monash Bursary in September/October each year in recognition of the incredible contribution Jerilderie's most famous son made on the national and world scale. Entry in this essay is open to residents of the Murrumbidgee Council area who are entering into post-secondary education through University, College or TAFE, or an approved course of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation, ie apprentices, trainees and adult education.
The bursary is valued at $2,000 and is awarded to assist with personal costs associated with course expenses.

Rudy Meyer Memorial Scholarships for 2023-2024 - Country Education Foundation Coleambally-Darlington Point - closed
This is a great opportunity for two students to attend a fully sponsored Outward Bound Expedition Course in Tharwa, NSW. This 10-day course is designed to help young people discover, develop and achieve their potential.
Presented in memory of Rudy Meyer, who loved the land-working first in shearing sheds, then as a rice farmer in Coleambally. His experiences in a Japanese concentration camp and as a migrant to Australia, show his incredible perseverance and survival skills to achieve his dreams.

Lions Club of Darlington Point Community Grant - Closed
This is an annual grant (commencing 2022), valued at up to $2,000 awarded to eligible applicants, which include individuals, for the purpose of advancing education, children's aid or community wellbeing. It was generously made available by the Lions Club of Darlington Point when it was closed in 2022. This grant is only available to residents of Darlington Point.
Other Scholarships - Country Education Foundation of Coleambally-Darlington Point - OPEN
Coleambally-Darlington Point Country Education Foundation proudly offers a number of scholarships to assist local students in attaining tertiary qualifications. Young people within the drawing area of the Country Education Foundation of Coleambally-Darlington Point are eligible to apply. This includes people who attended Coleambally Central School or who have a residential address in postcodes 2707 or 2706.

Transgrid Civil Engineering Scholarship
Charles Sturt University has partnered with transmission network leader Transgrid to develop the new Transgrid Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund.
The new Transgrid Scholarship Fund will support 100 Charles Sturt engineering students over a four-year period and will supply them with $20,000 each to put towards the cost of their study.
The $2 million multi-focused scholarship is open for ALL commencing students undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours) or a Bachelor of Technology (Civil) / Master of Engineering (Civil) at Charles Sturt University.
