  • International Women's Day luncheon

Join with Murrumbidgee Council and the wonderful women across the Murrumbidgee area to celebrate the contribution women make to our rural community.

Dual Paralympian Dr Hannah MacDougall as guest speaker for the luncheon. Dr MacDougall will be an inspirational speaker. Not only are her sporting achievements quite amazing, she also has a background in inclusion advocacy and strongly believes in empowering communities, which will be fascinating.

Dr MacDougall is an elite athlete, dual Paralympian, bronze medallist and previous world record holder. She has captained the Australian Swimming Team at both a World Championships and Paralympic Games and is currently training for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

When Dr MacDougall isn’t training, she is an inclusion advocate, mindfulness and wellbeing ‘pracademic’ and community engagement advisor at the Victoria State Emergency Service. She has a PhD in Well-being.

This event is free of charge and is generously supported by Murrumbidgee Council through the Australian Government Drought Communities Programme.

A bus will be available for Darlington Point and Coleambally residents.

For bookings contact Sam Star on 0400 321 016 or samanthas@murrumbidgee.nsw.gov.au by 6 March 2020.
