New Assistant General Managers Appointed

Murrumbidgee Council has announced the appointment of its two new Assistant General Managers.

Assistant General Manager, Corporate and Community Services, is Alison Coe, who will commence at Council next Monday, 3 July.

Assistant General Manager, Infrastructure and Environment, is Peter Chudek, and he will start on Monday, 24 July.   

Council’s General Manager, Craig Moffitt, said the appointments follow a comprehensive recruitment process which saw 24 applicants express interest in joining the organisation.

Ms Coe comes to Murrumbidgee Council with over 16 years’ experience in all levels of Government, particularly working with communities building genuine capacity, strategic and long term financial planning and good governance in rural and regional areas.

She has delivered major initiatives in the Victorian Treasury Department, State Library of Victoria and Moira Shire Council.

Ms Coe was also involved in transitioning a GP network into one of four inaugural Medicare Local Organisations in Victoria. More recently she has worked to introduce a number of budget and ICT projects at Forbes Shire Council.

Her qualifications include a combined Bachelor’s degree in Japanese and Politics, a Master of Business Administration from the Melbourne Business School, and she is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Chudek has over 25 years of experience in municipal engineering including planning, design, construction, maintenance and operations management.

He gained his municipal management experience working with Coonamble Shire Council, Brisbane City Council and Melbourne Water. 

Mr Chudek is coming to Murrumbidgee Council from the Coonamble Shire Council where he was employed as a Director of Engineering Services, managing roads, bridges, depot, plant and equipment, design and engineering, water supply and sewerage, drainage, council quarry and assets.
