The State Government has released the details of how to have your say about its proposal to carve up the Jerilderie Shire Council Local Government area, meaning Jerilderie Shire Council will no longer exist.

The State Government proposal joins the northern half of the Jerilderie Shire with Murrumbidgee Shire Council, merging the southern half with Berrigan Shire Council.

Jerilderie Shire Council has lodged submissions for both split - merger proposals.

Protest March Against Merger Proposals

It was great to see so many people attend the Public Enquiry Meeting on Wednesday 10th February about the proposed merger of part of Jerilderie Shire with Berrigan Shire. A large number of people marched from the Shire Office to the Sports Club to protest the proposal.
